InformIT User Group Program

The Pearson Education User Group Program provides qualified user groups with product news, discounted prices on products, free review copies in exchange for reviews, marketing materials, and promotional giveaways. Housed on InformIT.com, the program represents Pearson Education imprints and well-known technology brands of Addison-Wesley Professional, Cisco Press, Exam Cram, IBM Press, Prentice Hall, Que Publishing, and Sams Publishing.

To apply, leaders of legitimate groups should register to be considered. Once we verify your information, the user group will be qualified and considered active.

All active groups receive a discount membership code, a link on our user group site, a link to a welcome page that lists program benefits and downloadable materials, opportunities to provide feedback through surveys and become bloggers, and more! Groups with face-to-face meetings will also obtain a spot on a topical "review copy" mailing list; group leaders can use review copies to help boost meeting attendance.

What Qualifies A User Group

User groups are typically volunteer, not-for-profit organizations, or special interest groups. Companies and colleges are not included in the program. While we appreciate outside interest in our program, we respectively request that only leaders of legitimate user groups apply.

To qualify, groups must have:

  • Active membership of 10 or more people
  • Valid and active website for shared information
  • Regular online or face-to-face meetings

We request that group leaders relay product information and materials to all group members and provide attendance levels and/or contact information (members' e-mail addresses) to help raise awareness of available promotional offerings.

User Group Logo
Pearson has an official logo that you can use to show your participation in the user group program. The logo can be used on your site, in your newsletters, or in group materials. Qualifiying groups will receive a link to download the official user group logo.

Peachpit User Group Program

User Groups

Peachpit represents an elite collection of the world's leading computer book imprints specializing in graphics and design, including our flagship, Peachpit Press, as well as New Riders, Adobe Press, Apple Certified, among others.

Why "partner" you ask? We figure this is a give and take proposition—by registering your group, you'll receive information on our new and exciting releases, discounts on our titles, information on special events we're attending, and more. And in return, we ask that from time to time you share your thoughts on what we're publishing, what technologies you're using, or maybe how your group membership is changing and growing.

By registering, you agree to receive an e-mail newsletter from us each month detailing user group news, benefits information, and other announcements. We also request that you show your support for our program by posting one of our gorgeous Peachpit User Group Member banners to your group's Web site.
